Crystal is especially useful in the end-game, but if you want to start gathering it at low levels, using a metal pick is the best option. You can even give it a try with a stone pick, but you will surely notice a difference in quantity. Where can you find this resource? Search around the map for caves or go to the top of mountains and discover various crystal sources that are waiting for you. Craft spyglass, water jars, greenhouses, or even grenades with this amazing resource!
How it works:
- Craft a Metal Pick. It becomes available at level 20 and you only need 1 x Metal Ingot, 1 x Wood and, 10 x Hide
- Find some crystals
- Start collecting right away!

ARK HOW TO TAME A MANTIS 2019 - NO GHILLE ARMOR OR BUG REPELLANT NEEDED

The Lunar Biome is full of excellent resources, such as crystal bushes that are accessible for you, but especially for your Bronto. This large creature is one of the best gatherers when it comes to shaking bushes, allowing a massive area of destruction. Moreover, it is a Genesis Escort Defender, being able to protect your dinosaurs by holding them between his legs.

- Have fun destroying every crystal bush with your dinosaur and collect the best amounts of crystals

- Find underwater crystals. Tips: the big ones are actually decorative. Search for small, mineable crystals

The Ankylosaurus is the best dinosaur at getting white crystals that you can find on land. His saddle becomes available on level 36, making it one of the most accessible tools for gathering resources. You can find it on almost all the maps and it has 100% efficiency for metal, crystal, and flint, with 85% weight-reduction for metal. With an Ankylo you can even harvest the corpses of Rock Elementals for huge quantities of crystals. Moreover, this dinosaur is an excellent tank and underwater miner, fending off sea predators with its tail attack. It offers you the whole package.
How it works:
- Tame an Ankylosaurus
- Explore the map and don't stop until you find some white crystals. If you play on the Island, try going to The Frozen Tooth
- Gather the crystal with your tame
